Un autre film sur la guerre va bientôt sortir en salle. « Toute cette victoire » ou de son titre arabe « Jidar el sot ». C’est un film d’Ahmad Ghossein , cinéaste et artiste né à Beyrouth en 1981 et titulaire d’une maîtrise en arts visuels de l’Académie nationale des arts (KHIO) à Oslo et d’un baccalauréat en théâtre de l’Université libanaise de Beyrouth.
Son dernier film raconte l’attaque
israélienne de 2006 contre le Liban, où Marwan,(son personnage principal), 30
ans, s’est retrouvé coincé dans une maison avec 4 villageois. Au-dessus d’eux,
au premier étage, un groupe de soldats israéliens est aussi coincés qu’eux.
En effet, c’est le Liban, juillet 2006. La guerre fait rage entre le Hezbollah
et Israël. Pendant un cessez-le-feu de 24 heures, Marwan part à la recherche de
son père qui a refusé de quitter son village du sud et laisse son épouse Rana
se préparer seule à leur immigration au Canada. Marwan ne trouve aucune trace
de son père et le cessez-le-feu est rapidement rompu, l’obligeant à se mettre à
l’abri dans la maison de Najib, l’ami de son père. Marwan se retrouve piégé
sous la pluie de bombes avec Najib et un groupe d’anciens, amis de son père. La
tension monte à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur de la maison. Soudain, un groupe
de soldats israéliens pénètre dans le premier étage. Pris au piège dans leur
lieu de résidence ainsi que par leurs propres peurs, les trois prochains jours
voient la situation devenir incontrôlables.
Ahmad est un artiste-cinéaste
très talentueux, son dernier court métrage, White Noise, produit
sous les auspices de “Lebanon Factory”, a ouvert la quinzaine des
réalisateurs du Festival de Cannes en 2017. Il a remporté le prix du meilleur
réalisateur au Beyrouth International Film Festival en 2004 pour son court
métrage diplômé Operation Nb … Son film « Mon père est toujours
communiste » a été récompensé du meilleur court métrage au Tribeca Doha
Film Festival en 2011 et a été sélectionné par le MoMa, la Berlinale et
plusieurs festivals. Son autre court métrage, The Fourth Stage, a
ouvert le Forum Expanded of Berlinale Film Festival 2016. Reste à
