Pour s’en débarrasser, notre peau a besoin d’un petit coup de pouce: une « exfoliation » ou un « gommage », c’est-à-dire un soin qui consiste à éliminer par frottement les cellules mortes à la surface de l’épiderme. Cela a pour résultat de nous donner bonne mine : un teint lumineux, une peau nette, douce comme « neuve ».
Le gommage présente d’autres intérêts non négligeables : il aide à déboucher les pores, et ainsi à favoriser l’évacuation du sébum. C’est donc un geste qui contribue à lutter contre les petites irrégularités de l’épiderme, qui peuvent être à l’origine d’inesthétiques boutons, taches brunes et points noirs. Enfin, l’exfoliation du visage stimule la régénération cellulaire qui a tendance à ralentir avec les années. Le gommage aide la peau du visage à mieux respire.
Mais, il fait surtout aller en douceur ! La peau de votre visage est fragile, il ne s’agit pas de la maltraiter. C’est pourquoi, avant de commencer l’exfoliation du visage : mouillez votre visage : ainsi, les frottements seront moins agressifs, déposez une noisette de produit exfoliant sur le bout des doigts et commencez le soin du visage, frottez votre peau délicatement sans insister, en faisant des mouvements circulaires légers sur la zone que vous désirez traiter et en évitant la zone délicate du contour de l’œil, soyez brève afin de ne pas abîmer la peau, rincez de préférence à l’eau froide, pour resserrer les pores, enfin, hydratez.
Voilà une recette facile du gommage à l’huile de colza et au sucre
3 cuillères à soupe de sucre en poudre dans le bol.

Mélanger jusqu’à l’obtention d’un mélange homogène.
Apres avoir lavé votre visage, étalez le gommage sur la peau humidifiée, faites des mouvements circulaires sur la peau, sans frotter, laissez agir 15 minutes, rincez à l’eau tiède puis procédez à l’hydratation.
Il est conseillé de faire un gommage tous les quinze jours pour les peaux sèches et sensibles. Les peaux normales peuvent supporter un gommage par semaine. En ce qui concerne les peaux grasses, l’application de deux gommages par semaine est possible.
