Une fois de plus, GROHE a convaincu et se retrouve parmi les cinq compagnies sélectionnées par un jury d’experts dans la catégorie Ressources comme finaliste du Prix allemand de développement durable 2021. Le Prix allemand de développement durable a été repensé afin d’aligner davantage son évaluation aux objectifs de développement durable de l’Agenda 2030 des Nations Unies, ce qui a abouti à une répartition par champs de transformation. L’annonce du vainqueur aura lieu le 4 décembre 2020. Grâce à ce prix, la Stiftung Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis e.V. (Fondation du Prix allemand de développement durable) rend hommage aux entreprises combinant la réussite économique à la responsabilité sociale et à la protection de l’environnement, pour la 13e fois.
« Nous apprécions énormément le fait que nos efforts en matière de ressources soient remarqués et appréciés », a expliqué Thomas Fuhr, directeur des opérations Accessoires de LIXIL International et co-directeur général de Grohe AG. « La nomination en tant que finaliste constitue pour nous une motivation supplémentaire afin de promouvoir de manière active la question de la conservation des ressources. Cela ne se limite pas uniquement à notre gamme de produits efficients en eau et en énergie, mais inclut de même l’ensemble de notre chaîne de valeur, y compris le conditionnement. Dans le cadre de notre initiative Less Plastic (Moins de plastique), nous avons réussi à économiser à cette date 21 millions d’emballages plastiques et avons ainsi atteint les 2/3 de notre objectif fixé à 35 millions ».
Le développement durable chez GROHE constitue un processus continu aux objectifs ambitieux. D’ici 2021, par exemple, tous les emballages de produits seront conçus sans plastique. De même, en plus des sites de production qui affichent déjà une neutralité carbone, les entreprises commerciales seront elles aussi vouées à ce destin. En raison de ses efforts continus dans ce domaine, la marque est sélectionnée parmi les finalistes du Prix allemand de développement durable pour la troisième fois consécutive.
