La cérémonie d’ouverture du MAJESTIC BYBLOS GRAND HOTEL (cinq étoiles) a été tenue par la propriétaire l’ingénieur Najwa Chlala et son époux, Dr Raymond El-Khoury, sous les auspices du Ministre du Tourisme, M. Walid Nassar, de son excellence M. Simon Abi Ramia, de son excellence M. Ziad Hawat, de l’ex député, Dr. Walid Khoury, du chef de la municipalité de Byblos, l’ingenieur Wissam Zaarour, des maires de Jbeil, messieurs Georges Habib, Adeeb Saliba, Imad Malhama, George Zughaib, Michel Abi Shebel, Abdo Nasr, de l’ex maire de Jbeil et président actuel du conseil d’administration de l’hôpital maritime Notre Dame, Dr Joseph Al-Shami, le général retraité Zakhia El Khoury, et d’une foule de personnalités médiatiques et d’amis.
Après un discours de bienvenue, le Dr Raymond Al-Khoury a remercié tous ceux qui ont contribué à la réussite de ce projet, soulignant l’importance de la restructuration du système financier et bancaire, qui était un modèle aux banques arabes et étrangères, et a souligné l’importance de la stabilité sécuritaire, de la conscience politique et de l’existence de systèmes et de gouvernements stables qui regagneront la confiance du peuple.
A son tour, le ministre M. Nassar a honoré cette “belle icône”, comme il l’a appellé , soulignant l’importance de la continuation dans tels projets.
Il a souhaité la solidarité entre les personnes concernées par l’intérêt public et l’infrastructure, s’adressant à la municipalité de Byblos représentée par son chef et ses membres, pour élaborer des plans de développement en vue de les mettre en œuvre, d’autant plus que l’on espère qu’un développement équilibré s’étendra sur tout le territoire libanais.
Par la suite, un toast a été porté.
