Une voix unie pour la lutte contre la violence à l’égard de La Femme arabe.
Du 28 au 30 mars dernier, le souffle de l’engagement a parcouru les rives de Beyrouth. À l’hôtel Mövenpick, l’ONU Femmes et l’UNESCO ont levé le voile sur une question trop longtemps ignorée : la lutte contre la violence sexiste dans les écoles.
Un Guide mondial arabe a été lancé. Non pas un simple document, mais un cri, une main tendue, un appel à briser le silence. Un guide pour dire non à la peur. Non à la honte. Non à l’indifférence.
La jeunesse arabe au front de la lutte contre la violence à l’égard de La Femme arabe.
Dans la salle, des visages jeunes, des cœurs brûlants. Ils venaient d’Algérie, d’Égypte, d’Irak, de Jordanie, du Liban et du Maroc. Ensemble, ils ont formé une coalition de courage. Une jeunesse déterminée à ne plus détourner le regard.
Durant l’atelier régional, soutenu par le gouvernement du Japon, les jeunes ont partagé des récits, échangé des idées et des avis, esquissé des solutions. Ils ont écouté, pleuré parfois, mais surtout rêvé d’un monde plus juste.
Un appel vibrant : la lutte contre la violence à l’égard de La Femme arabe comme devoir commun.
À la fin de la rencontre, un Appel à l’action des jeunes a vu le jour. Il ne s’agit pas seulement de mots couchés sur le papier. Il s’agit d’un engagement. D’un serment. Celui de faire un combat contre la violence une résistance de chaque instant.
Des stratégies régionales ont été proposées. Des priorités identifiées. Parmi elles : l’éducation des garçons au respect, la protection des victimes, la transformation des mentalités par l’art, le théâtre, les médias.
Quand le silence se brise, la dignité renaît.
Ce n’est qu’un début. Mais c’est une étincelle. Une étincelle qui pourrait embraser les murs du silence. Une étincelle pour rallumer, dans les yeux des femmes arabes, l’éclat de la liberté retrouvée.
