Quand j’ai assisté à « Ossit Sawani » en 2012, le premier film de Nibal Arakji, j’ai été profondément bouleversée par le destin tragique des différents protagonistes.
Aujourd’hui, quand j’ai vu « Matloubin », sortie en cinéma début janvier, j’ai eu le même sentiment, pourtant le film a été écrit dans un cadre comique.
Apparemment, le film raconte l’histoire de quatre amis du 3e âge et leur périple dans les rues du Liban, un sujet très banal, mais au fond, il traite un sujet beaucoup plus émouvant :la vieillesse délaissée seule face à la solitude dans des maisons de repos sous la poigne dure et avide des directeurs de ces établissements, préoccupés par le gain de l’argent, négligeant le bien-être de leurs patients : interprété là par la superbe Aida Sabra . Heureusement que des infirmiers tels Karim (Pierre Rabbat) et Zeina (Josyane Boulos) sont là, pour rendre la vie de ces oubliés plus tolérable et vivable.
Les quatre personnages principaux, très captivant, chacun à sa manière serait Daad (Daad Rizk), la bavarde, la frénétique mais aussi l’attendrissante, Jacko interprétée par Siham Haddad, la réservée, au regard doux et profond, Walid (Georges Abou Khalil), le délaissé qui traine sur ses épaules amaigries, la blessure de la solitude du père et du grand-père et Adib (Georges Diab), le Don Juan qui sème autour de lui la joie de vivre et le sourire.
D’autres vieux et vieilles se meuvent à l’intérieur de cette maison de repos, se rencontrent autour d’une partie de bingo ou d’un anniversaire, mais Daad, Jacko Walid et Adib nouent des liens d’amitié beaucoup plus profond.
Leur vie se déroule tranquillement jusqu’au jour où Jacko reçoit une lettre l’informant que la tombe de son mari va être détruite car un centre commercial va être construit à la place. Alors, nos quatre copains décident de s’échapper de l’établissement pour empêcher la réalisation de ce terrible projet. Leur voyage les mènera d’endroit en endroit, où ils affrontent diverses situations cocasses. Et leur histoire deviendra une affaire d’opinion publique où les vidéos en temps réel et les “likes” sur le Net sont capables d’engendrer des manifestations.
Avec la participation de Dory Samrabi, Wissam Saliba, Badih Abou Chacra, Tony Baroud, Diana Fakhoury, Ali Meimné, Lina Abiad et l’invitée d’honneur, Myriam Klink.
Pour conclure, Nibal Arakji a voulu nous montrer, à travers « le regard des plus âgés, que l’humain est le plus important, et qu’il faut rester soudés avec nos amis et familles ».
C’est pourquoi ce film souligne « la nécessité d’aimer et d’être aimés, de travailler dur pour obtenir ce en quoi on croit et d’être en phase avec nos principes et nos valeurs ».
Bien sûr que le sujet est humainement intéressant et inédit au cinéma même si en en sortant, j’ai eu l’impression d’avoir assisté à un film américain en langue arabe.
