Dr Dr Dima Raad est une artiste originaire de Baalbek. Son récit est basé sur ses expériences dans un Liban déchiré par la guerre. Elle exprime la souffrance humaine que le Liban a traversée pendant la guerre. Elle considère que FACES est le moyen de montrer des sentiments humains à travers son œuvre dont son style distinctif peut être considéré comme expressionniste.
La carrière d’artiste de Dima est étroitement liée à son travail académique assidu. Elle a eu de nombreux prix et certifications prouvant qu’elle est en effet chef de file dans son domaine.
Le succès international de Dima est sans égal.
Elle a participé et représenté le Liban en tant que commissaire dans de nombreuses expositions et conférences locales et internationales. Notamment en : France,
Grande-Bretagne, Allemagne, USA, Égypte, Qatar, Jordanie, Syrie, Chine, Inde, Japon, Portugal, Yémen, Soudan , Abu Dhabi, Royaume d’Arabie Saoudite, Algérie, Bangladesh, Grèce, Tunisie, Turquie, Dubaï et Colombie.
Ses expositions personnelles ont également eu une renommée internationale. Ellesz ont eu lieu dans de différents pays, notamment : le Liban, l’Allemagne, la France, la Suisse, la Colombie et Dubaï. Elle a siégé à de nombreux jurys sur la scène artistique locale et internationale.
A l’époque des événements précipités, l’artiste a voulu mettre de l’ordre dans ce chaos. C’est pourquoi, elle les a concentrés dans « Faces » ; première lettre de l’expression et centre principal du lancement des outils corporels et intellectuels. Usant des couleurs et de la composition pour souligner l’étendue de l’endurance qui nous meurtrie au quotidien.
Faces : une métamorphose du réel.
Ces visages exposés, ne sont pas le tissu de l’imagination fertile de l’artiste. Ils sont plutôt des éclairs, des restes de traits traversant l’imaginare suite à des événements que nous traversons au quotidien. Ainsi, le visage devient indéfini jusqu’à l’infini, les nerfs tendus, la douleur déchirante, le sentiment disséminé, la joie dissipée et l’amour au bord de l’attente, font que la patrie est devenue fosse commune.
La table n’est plus table. La nature n’est plus nature. Les objets ont changé de nature, même « Le Visage » a évolué et est devenu polyvalent et changeant à tout moment. C’est pourquoi, l’artiste devait s’empresser de capter ces expressions. Car ces dernière s’articulent autour du jeu des couleurs, de la composition et de la matière pour s’emparer de l’espace approprié. Spontanément, elle accède à d’autres issues inexploitées et étranges. En attendant ce « Nouveau » inconnu, puisque nous sommes la génération de la guerre et des calamités, l’artiste nous offre ces “visages “Faces” sacrifiés sur l’autel de l’infini.
